PARTNER: THE POSTER SERIES

Partner is a poster project created by April and Mai from Ours Studio. It began as an exploration of collaboration and what it means to build something together that feels alive, intentional, and human. We wanted to capture partnership through color and form, translating emotion and rhythm into bold visual language.

Each poster was designed by hand, filled with color that mirrored the energy behind it. Cobalt blues, warm reds, and vivid yellows became expressions of balance between structure and spontaneity, between clarity and care. Every piece reflects how we create with feeling, precision, and the freedom to experiment.

When the posters were finished, we took them outside. We held them to the sky, placed them inside trees, and let them rest on the ground. The colors met the light and transformed. The sky deepened the blues, the trees pulled the gradient hues to the surface, and the sunlight turned every shade into movement. It felt like watching our process breathe.

Partner is more than a collection of posters. It is a study in creative trust and the energy that lives inside collaboration. It celebrates queer partnership and the ways our creative worlds intertwine. It reminds us that design is not meant to sit still. It is meant to move, reflect, and connect. These posters are our love letter to color, to partnership, and to the beauty of creation that exists beyond the studio.
